To accelerate our mission of enabling a digital world free of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) we rely on our global network of member hotlines to remove the material as rapidly as possible. With this software development, we want to guarantee that all hotlines are equipped with the best possible technological resources to ensure the rapid removal of harmful material.


To this end, under the umbrella of project ESCAPE, with funding from End Violence Against Children (EVAC), INHOPE has developed Report Box to enable organisations to operate as a reporting hotline. Report Box is an ideal offering for hotlines in the early stages of hotline development, as it provides a key element of the foundation of what a hotline needs - a reporting structure." - Kalina Zografska, Head of Technology and Innovation

Report Box is a plug-and-play solution that allows a hotline to design a simple public-facing report web form. All reports entered by the public are securely stored within the system. The hotline can access and manage the reports through the Report Box website. With the ESCAPE project approaching its end after a two-year running period, we want to look back at how Report Box has developed over time and share the most recent updates.

Latest Report Box Updates

1. The tool was updated to include the possibility of creating several report forms for one hotline. This development is beneficial either for hotlines that want to offer reporting forms in multiple languages or for those processing different types of reports, such as CSAM and terrorism.
2. ReportBox can now be accessed and maintained by several users. While previously the tool was operated by the hotline manager, the system can now be accessed through multiple accounts.
3. The most significant development was the ICCAM Integration. Every report that comes through in Report Box is directly forwarded into the ICCAM system.
   
   

The Report Box tool's primary functionality is enabling hotlines to implement reporting structures and start processing incoming reports. The software was optimised throughout the different developmental stages to fulfil the hotlines' needs. The platform will continue to be available as a plug-and-play solution for all organisations wanting to become an INHOPE reporting hotline. If further updates and developments are needed those will be addressed in the next developmental phase.
